Mechanical Engineering

Setting the Standard for Built Spaces

Designing traditional, complex, or custom mechanical systems to operate with ease and offer maximum comfort

Reliability and comfort alone no longer dictate mechanical system designs; now, these systems and products are highly specialized to achieve efficiency, decarbonization, and net zero goals in the built environment. It is no small task to stay at the leading edge of proven mechanical technology and specify products that are correctly applied to the application instead of simply incorporating the latest equipment entering the market. However, our expert mechanical team does just that.

Optimizing Existing Facilities’ System Performance

Retro‐commissioning is the systematic process of investigating, analyzing, & optimizing an existing facility’s system performance through operational & maintenance improvement to ensure optimal performance as designed over time.

This process tailors the building to meet the design intent & your current facility requirements. We achieve this by comparing your building system’s as‐built documents against the actual operational performance of your building systems. We identify & document non-compliance operating conditions in your building & provide a report with recommendations & a path towards improvement.

Typical Existing Building Problem Areas:

  • Building automation controls point mapping and reporting issues.
  • HVAC equipment installation issues.
  • Missing specified HVAC equipment and components.
  • Non-operating AHU economizers, incorrectly programmed VFDs, and incorrect control point applications and operational sequence algorithms.
